Old Digha is not a popular spot for tourists in recent times. Old Digha's beach is very narrow due to heavy soil erosion. New Digha is about 2 kms away from old Digha and the beach here is better than the old Digha beach. New Digha beach is clean, well maintained and the security of the tourists is also better than old Digha beach. Old Digha beach is not a safe place for tourists in the evening specially for women.
